After Early Season Forfeits, Boys’ Basketball Bounces Back

The boys’ basketball team knows firsthand how important it is to be successful over a long season with highs and lows. The team took a hard blow earlier in the season when they had to forfeit their first five games due to an ineligible player. Suddenly the team saw its 7-0 record turn into a 2-5 mark. Reeling from the misfortune the team lost its next four games to Springbrook, Magruder, Paint Branch and Gaithersburg. At 3-10 the season could have been lost.

Four Warriors Go Division-I

Seniors Jamal Merritt, A.J. Pignone, Alex Cole and Tyler Rudy signed letters of intent on Wednesday morning to play Division-I sports in college. Merritt, Pignone and Cole will play football and Rudy will play soccer at the highest level of college sports.

If you watch football, I am sure you are used to seeing a running back be smacked by a linebacker in the backfield. Many people find exhilaration from the sight of helmets flying up into the air and rolling across the field after such a hit. In reality, this is a major problem because concussions are a common result of such actions.

I Always Feel Like Somebody’s Watching Me
