Warriors Finish Season With Solid Performance At States

The Cross Country Warriors finished off their season with a successful day at the Maryland State Championships Saturday, November 10. Most notably, Amanda Hayes-Puttfarken finished an impressive freshman season placing sixth out of 159 individuals. The girls’ team finished their 0-5 season by grabbing twelfth place out of 22 teams.
The boys had a solid finish, despite a big collision that caused three Warriors to fall at the beginning of the race. The boys’ finished fourth out of 22 teams, led by seniors Vikram Siberry, Robel Kebede, and Dereje Alemu taking twenty-third, thirty-sixth and thirty-seventh respectively out of 159 people.
