Thoughts on Men

Any girl can tell you, there’s nothing more attractive than a well-dressed guy. Typically, high school boys (the worst offenders being freshmen and sophomores) don’t make much of an effort; their uniform normally consists of tee shirts, gym shorts, and sneakers… not nice.
Now, a sort-of preppy look is my personal favorite, but there are so many different combinations and style choices out there. Here I have just a few options guys can take that’ll make them look great and feel super confident!
Preppy: This look is really easy to pull off, and it doesn’t take emptying your bank account. Staples include slim fit khaki pants, a button up shirt or nice tee shirt (not one with some dumb slogan), loafers, boat shoes, or boots. Especially in preppy style, shoes make it or break it. If it’s cold, just throw on a pullover sweater, and maybe finish the look off with a swipe of a hairbrush.
Indie: I am a sucker for a guy in a beanie. Slim cut jeans or pants, a slightly oversized sweater, and boots is one way to rock the indie look. Alternatively, a fun, patterned, button up with a cardigan or sweater would look just as cool, and is still pretty comfortable.
Vintage: Mod is really big right now, but if that’s not really your cup of tea, there are plenty of other decades to choose from. If you’re going for a sixties look, Beatle boots, dark, slim cut pants, and nice sweaters never go wrong. The seventies featured baseball tees, high-top sneakers (such as Chuck Taylors) and longer hair for boys. In the eighties, there were lots of bright colors, windbreakers, and wayfarer sunglasses. For the nineties, however, it kind-of compliments the grunge look that’s in right now, including tight pants, flannel, boots, and lots of dark colors.
In summary, the top trends for boys this season to invest in are some nice boots, slim cut pants, and a razor. Why a razor? What girl doesn’t love a clean-shaven man? I know I do.
