The Sherwood Tennis team faces a tough schedule this season, but they are ready. The boys’ tennis team is very young, there is only one senior on the entire team. The team’s top three singles performers, Ryan Tom, Ryan Gilroy and Chris Nguyen, are all sophomores. Additionally, their top doubles team, Jack McCallister and Gabe Serecky, are both juniors. With all of this young talent the team is set for the future as well as this season.

Sherwood will try to key in on their five division opponents, which are Einstein, Northwood, Poolesville, Rockville and Springbroo,k to bring home the divisional championship. This is a lofty goal, but Coach Tom Maley believes they can do it if they keep playing good tennis. “You need to always be working to improve or you get left behind in MCPS tennis. MCPS has a lot of real good tennis players,” said Maley. The tennis team plays their next home game on March 21^st.
