In the playoffs for the Boy’s Tennis team, the singles and doubles players don’t all play the same school like with other sports, the highest ranked single or double player plays the highest ranked from another school so two boys wouldn’t play the same guy. The Boy’s Tennis team finished their regular season with 4 wins and 7 losses. In Division 2 they finished with 3 wins and 5 looses. Coach Tom Maley wasn’t looking to have a 2013 Divisional Championship, “the team is very young and expects to challenge for a divisional championship in the 2014 season” said Maley. The only positions that advanced to round 2 were #2 singles Ryan Tom ’16 and #3 doubles team, Jack McCallister ’15 and Gabe Serecky ’15. “I think we did ok in the regular season considering we are a relatively new team and had to play against a fair amount of Division 1 schools” said Ryan Tom ’16. Playoffs are technically over and regionals are starting soon, some players are hoping to win a title but Maley doesn’t expect anything really big since the team is fairly new.
