Star-crossed Lovers Meet Over Teen Dating App

OLNEY, MD—After using the new iPhone dating application Tinder, 17-year-old Missy Callow believes that she has finally found her true love. About one week ago, Missy was matched up with her new boyfriend, Peter Sham, who is a tall, tan, 21-year-old model for Polo Ralph Lauren.

Unlike any other dating application, Tinder uses current location and Facebook profiles to ensure that users will find the best match possible. They way it works, is users are given a series of different photographs of other people using Tinder that are within a 50 mile radius, and they get to decide whether they like or dislike the photo. If two users like each other’s photos, then they are put into a chat room together, where they can view each other’s profiles through Facebook.

“I just can’t believe how fortunate I am to have found such a real, honest man, who only lives 30 minutes away!” Missy told reporters Tuesday afternoon.

“Obviously, physical attraction is what initially ignited our relationship, but we also had over three shared interests!” says Missy. After doing more research, reporters discovered that some of Missy’s interest includes: hot guys, yoga pants, and the TV show Catfish. Peter’s interests on the other hand, includes: long walks on the beach, Rebecca Schaeffer, and the TV show FBI’s Most Wanted. Below is a sample of their conversation that was captured from Missy’s phone.

Expressing both pride and gratification, Missy’s parents talked to reporters about her daughter’s new relationship. “We think it’s great!” said the parents. “We’re trying to encourage Missy to break out of her comfort shell and meet up with Peter in person.”

“Peter truly is the sweetest guy. On Valentine’s Day, he sent me an envelope with 10 pictures of myself as I was walking to the bus in the morning.” “It was so cute! He must have taken the pictures without me knowing, just to

surprise me!” said Missy, explaining how caring Peter is.

After several tries of trying to contact Peter, reporters were unable to capture an interview with him.
