With the first round of playoffs over, the Sherwood Warriors basketball team is moving on. On February 26 the Warriors beat their first opponent on the road at Perry Hall 73-65.

After ending the first quarter losing 21-12, the Warriors flipped a switch and outscored their opponents in every quarter after that. Senior captains Joey DeStefano and Brandon Loiacono both led the team with 14 points each with 12 of Loiacono’s points coming from three pointers. Junior Ellis Dozier had a big game on the boards ending with 8 points and 10 rebounds.

The Warriors next game will be at Paint Branch on February 28 where the warriors look to topple the Panthers who had a bye first round. During the season the Warriors won the game at home 55-52 but lost on the road 56-43.

If the Warriors win they will play at the winner of the Blake vs. Dulaney game.
