Lady Warriors Look To Capture Momentum For Playoffs
by Hunter Moore ’15
After losing 54-40 on Tuesday to Bethesda-Chevy Chase, the Lady Warriors’ basketball team fell to 5-15 on the season. The girls had shown improvement down the by winning three of the last seven games with victories over Springbrook, Blake and B-CC, and are now preparing for their final game of the regular season.
The last game of the season is tonight against archrival Magruder, who have also struggled this season posting a 3-20 record. Earlier in the season the girls captured their first victory of the season against the colonels and should win again. A win would still mean finishing the season last in the division, however, it would also mean some momentum heading into the postseason.
“Don’t count us out for sure in the playoffs, a little momentum can go a long way,” said sophomore Nicole Stockinger.
