A Play of ‘Almost’ Perfect Love Stories

By Lydia Velazquez ’17

The Northern lights are considered to be fairly magical, and in the (imaginary) town of Almost, Maine, these lights influence whether nine couples’ relationships fall apart or come together.

Rather than putting together one large, cohesive play, the Sherwood C.A.S.T will be producing “Almost, Maine,” a collection of vignettes focused on the concepts of love and relationships for the spring show.

Many familiar faces from the fall musical will be seen in this show, including Lindsay Tagliere (‘17), Gracie Castle (‘19),  Evan Neufeld (‘18) and Joseph Hunt (‘16). The large cast reflects the large underclassmen turnout from the musical, conveying the department’s capability of including many people.

“I’m really excited for these new faces to be given the chance to do live theater,” expressed C.A.S.T President Lizzie Boscolo, who has two roles in the spring production.

Show dates for Sherwood’s variation of “Almost, Maine” will be April 22 and 23 at 7:30 p.m. and April 24 at 2 p.m. in the Ertzman Theatre.
