Celebs Need To Be Held Accountable

Famous country artist Morgan Wallen was supposed to perform on “Saturday Night Live” on October 10. However, the day before the show, SNL disinvited Wallen due to videos surfacing of him partying, drinking, and kissing women at a party with no masks or social distancing, completely ignoring CDC guidelines about Covid. The Nelkboys, a famous Youtube group, have been criticized on multiple occasions in the past few months by state governors due to them going from state to state partying. Not only these examples, but many other influencers and celebrities are beginning to act ignorant of the pandemic, throwing big parties and gathering in large groups with no masks and doing other activities.
As artists and influencers to people around the world, celebrities need to be more aware and respectful of Covid restrictions. These people have a great amount of influence when it comes to their fans and to go out irresponsibly and not follow guidelines makes it seem like it is acceptable. Not only does this put the celebrities in danger, but it puts all of their families in danger too. All other networks, companies, and businesses need to start considering punishments and cancellations of their guests who deny to abide by the restrictions, just like SNL did, if they want to see normalcy again.
