Warriors Ride “Big Three” To Three Straight Wins
by Michael Natelli ’14
The Warriors rode senior Ellis Dozier and juniors Drew Davis and Xavier McCants to three straight wins in the last week, and now sit at an unbeaten 4-0.
“We’ve just had a lot of success getting the ball to lots of guys,” said McCants. “We’ve opened up the floor a lot by having lots of different scoring options.”
McCants scored a combined 44 points in the Warriors’ three wins over Einstein, Bethesda-Chevy Chase and Walter Johnson, respectively, leading the Warriors in scoring against the WJ Wildcats with 19 points.
Davis and Dozier combined for 36 and 32 points, respectively, with the lengthy Dozier showing his range against the B-CC Barons hitting two three-pointers.
The Warriors will look to advance to 5-0 as they take on the Paint Branch Panthers tomorrow night on the road in what should be a very close rivalry game.
