An Annoying Game of Hide and Seek

by Avery Prudenti ’22

Online school has been going on for a little over a month now, and the teachers and students are finally starting to get used to the many different online sources that are used for classes. MyMCPS Classroom is the main platform that is used, and the many classes are filled with different tabs, such as “Modules” and “Assignments.” A majority of the teachers use the modules tab to assign all of their assignments, which makes it easy for students to find things because it is all organized by week. Others put their assignments all over the different tabs, with some worksheets under announcements and others under assignments, instead of together under modules, as they should be.

This makes it extremely difficult for students to keep up on their assignments because many of them are hidden under random tabs. It can become exceedingly frustrating to see that you have missing assignments, yet are unable to find them to be able to do them. With 7 different classes, and 7 different workloads, students do not have time to play hide and seek with their assignments; instead, they should be able to go to modules and see them all organized and together. This would benefit students, as well as teachers, because why over complicate something that could be resolved quickly? Students could do the assignments quickly, and teachers could grade the assignments with the same amount of ease.
