Sharing the Magic

by Marissa Harris ’22

Disney World is a magical place where movies that you watch on the big screen come to real life. “Toy Story,” “The Princess and the Frog,” “Cinderella,” and “The Pirates of the Carribean” are four of over 200 movies that have been watched by billions for decades.

Disney is not just a movie company, it is a culture. When people walk into Disney World, they see decorated buildings, gigantic rides, their favorite characters walking around, and stands full of delicious treats.

Disney has a special place in peoples’ hearts, and during this time it is important to keep yourself happy and joyous. In an effort to make this time period a little bit easier, Disney has released some of their most famous recipes including their Dole Whip, churros, beignets, and grilled cheese. Something as small as a churro can make one day different from all the rest.

Not only has Disney released their classic and famed recipes, they have streamed their well known fireworks, and have hosted a Disney Sing-along. These two things could cheer a whole family up, even if it is just for an hour. People of all ages have the chance to see their favorite celebrities sing classic Disney Songs that bring hope to all. Along with the singing, they have put in an effort to thank the front-line workers during this time, and are now planning another sing-a-long.

Listed below are two famous, delicious recipes that do not take that long to make!

  8. Drain churro bites on a paper towel.
  9. Mix sugar and ½ teaspoon cinnamon in a medium bowl. Toss in churro bites until coated. Place on a serving plate and serve with your favorite dipping sauce.
