Warriors Fall in Playoffs as Late Rally Falls Short

The boys’ soccer team could not mount a comeback after falling behind by two goals to Blake in the 4A North Regional Quarterfinals on October 29. After allowing two goals in the first half, the Warriors knew what they had to do to get back into this state playoff game. And that they did just that  to open the second half when junior midfielder Dylan Panzer netted a goal four minutes in to give the Warriors hope. But that is as close as the team would get as a fury of shots could not find the back of the net as the final moments ticked away and they fell 2-1.

This all came after a heroic ending in the first round game of the playoffs against Springbrook. After 120 scoreless minutes, the game came down to penalties and that’s when the Warriors saw the scoreboard start to light up. The Warriors came out victorious 4-2 in penalty kicks after seniors Austin Cecil, Jeremy Rollings, junior Dylan Panzer and sophomore Shervin Kashani all netted goals to save the Warriors playoff lives.
