The Lady Warrior softball team clinched the region in a blow-out win over Westminster on Thursday, May 16, by a score of 20-0. Pitcher Meggie Deijter shut down the opposition, allowing only four hits. Sophomore Julie Swarr and senior Kelsey Lineberger provided much of the offensive power. The lopsided game gave much experience to the younger players, who all but one can say that they have played in a regional title game.

“It was a great game, and most of us girls got to gain experience. We really just got to have a good time playing and gaining momentum for the state championship game,” said freshman Hanna Nalls.
