Girls’ Volleyball Looks To Win Trip To Regional Finals

The Lady Warriors volleyball team is moving on in the playoffs, hoping to keep an undefeated season alive. The second seeded team is coming off a 3-0 win over Westminster in the first round of the playoffs. The team got the second seed after a coin was flipped between undefeated Dulaney and Sherwood.

The team plays tonight November 7at 6:30 against Paint Branch. Paint branch went 13-8 during the regular season and is coming off of a 3-0 win against Poly. The two teams last met on October 3where Sherwood swept 3-0 winning 25-15, 25-18 and 25-20. Senior captain Alex Holston led the team with 21 kills and Junior Makayla Roy recorded 3 blocks to help her team to the victory.

The Lady Warriors are expected to sweep once again and continue their path to “three-peating” as state champions.
