What a Kardsastrophe

The Kim Kardashian/Kris Humphries marriage was clearly a publicity stunt to increase fame for both Kardashian and Humphries. Kardashian wanted to up her status in Hollywood, and Humphries wanted to make a name for himself, since no one knew who he was before he became Kardashian’s boyfriend. The marriage lasted a mere 72 days, leaving the entire country in a state of uproar for reasons that are still unclear to me. Did the public really believe that “Kim’s Fairytale Wedding” was about true love? Watching the horrendous show, “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” clearly proved to any sane person that they were incompatible. Humphries is loud and obnoxious, while Kardashian is materialistic and snooty. Kardashian received a 20.5 carat engagement ring and $172,000 worth of gifts from her bridal registry. Plus, selling the exclusive rights to cover the wedding to People Magazine made $1.5 million. In fact, overall the couple made $18 million from various media and brand partnerships. But did we really expect anything better from a girl who received her claim to fame from a sex tape with R&B singer, Ray-J?
