Recent Sherwood graduate dies in motorcycle accident

Recent Sherwood graduate, Jarrett Harman ’14, died in a motorcycle collision on September 4. After the fatal accident occurred, he was dashed to MedStar Montgomery Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries.

Harman was a second-year student at Montgomery College who was paying his way towards an engineering major. While he was at Sherwood, this diligent student thrived in cross-country and track and field. The news of his death sparked an outpouring of tributes on social media, most notably about his beautiful smile and genuine character.

The viewing and funeral services were held on September 11 and 12 at The Lutheran Church of the Good Shepard in Olney, Maryland. Numerous members of the Sherwood Community attended to mourn and to honor this incredible young man’s legacy.
