Boys’ Lacrosse Launches Into Spring Season

By Dalton Sanchez ’15

The Warriors started off their 2015 season with a 14-7 win away against Blake. At the end of first quarter the Warriors were leading 4-3. As the boys continued to battle, senior Chris Chiogioji scored multiple goals which helped the Warriors increase their lead. Before half time ended, senior Jake Guiffree got injured and was unable to finish out the match. The Warriors led 11-3 at half and maintained the comfortable lead in the second half.

“We didn’t play our best that game, but it’s a win so we’re happy about it,” said Guiffree, who recovered for the Watkins Mill match a few days later. “Blake really showed up that game and competed with us. It was a great way to start off the season.”

The team defeated Watkins Mill, 20-2, at a home game on March 23. The Warriors will play Quince Orchard away on March 27.
