Oh, Look. Another One

On March 20, there was another school shooting.

In Maryland this time.

In the midst of all the gun control pleas, people are still somehow getting shot at in their schools. How can people not see how important this movement is?

As a high school senior, I’ll be aging out of the target range in a few months. But that doesn’t mean this problem doesn’t concern me. Right now, I fear for my life. Once I’m gone (if I make it out), I’ll fear for the lives of my younger friends.

I remember when my fear for high school was potentially losing my friends to suicide, and now it’s become whether or not they’ll get shot in the face by a random, angry stranger.

This has to stop. This has to end. We need gun control. We needed it before more people got hurt, but the push back against the MarchForOurLives movement has delayed the regulations we need and therefore cost more lives.

Protect us. Protect the future of this country that you should value so much.
